I love being outdoors, watching the changing seasons pass. There is always something familiar to do, see and experience and there are always new things to discover.

Being able to combine three dimensional design with plants and the landscape is very invigorating and brings together many different disciplines. Recently I have been wondering how garden design and landscaping relates to the process of painting.

There are also web sites at philironside.com, cstf.co.uk and creativespaces.eu which give more information on other things that I get up to.

This involves getting the garden to a position where it will just need regular maintenance.

Regular Maintenance

Once the garden is under control I can arrange to come and do regular maintenance.

Garden Design

I am happy to design either an entire garden or just parts of the garden.

Planting Plans

Putting the right plant in the right place is always fun. They often produce some surprises.

Pershore Horticultural College

The illustration above is one I did for a poster project in inks and watercolor.

I attended Pershore College to brush up on some of my techniques and to introduce myself to others.

It was really brilliant to get back to a classroom again.

The library facilities are very good and all the lecturers experts in their respective fields.

I have now completed the City and Guilds Level 1 and 3 in horticulture.

It was great to finish the course and I hope to go back at a later date.
